In a competitive material analysis and laboratory service provision market, TSW Analytical provides a unique high-end applied and interpretive science service which is not available from other commercial laboratories. This service is based on the analysis of samples and interpretation of results, which are obtained from a number of analytical instruments.

X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
The Minipal energy dispersive XRF, manufactured by Panalytical, is a new addition to the instrumental infrastructure available to the scientific team. This equipment is primarily used to determine the primary composition of samples to be without any sample preparation. In as little as 60 seconds the analyst can identify major metal components of unknown samples. This allows the next stage of the scientific tests to be targeted, essentially reducing the overall cost to the customer. In addition to an excellent screening tool the Minipal has proven that it can also be used to obtain preliminary fingerprints of materials which is useful for certain forensic applications. TSW Analytical will obtain a Wavelength Dispersive XRF in the near future, to compliment the analytical instrumentation currently available, further extending our capabilities.
