Professional Training
TSW Analytical can provide training in both theoretical and practical training in analytical chemistry. The diverse expertise base at TSW Analytical enables us to also offer courses in the area of forensic chemistry and forensic science. Courses in food science, food safety and traceability technologies are also available.
Practical Laboratory Chemistry: provides new analysts with foundations of analytical chemistry and compliments the instrumental analytical chemistry modules (ICP-MS, ICP-AES, AAS ... etc)
General Instrumental Analysis: covers a number of inorganic instrumental methods (including AAS, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, XRF), with the aim of giving analysts the knowledge to know which equipment is best used for various analytical tasks.
XRF in the Workplace: a good starting point for new analysts who will be working with XRF in their workplace. This course is run by ![]()
Advanced XRF: an intensive course which aims to give analysts and laboratory scientists with a high-level theoretical and practical appreciation of X-Ray analysis and XRF instrumentation. This course is run by ![]()
ICP-MS Concepts and Applications: designed to make analysts aware of the concepts of ICP-MS technology, its strengths and limitations in the context of overall analytical chemistry. This course is a good start for new analysts who will be working with ICP-MS instrumentation. This course will be run in partnership with Agilent Technologies.
Advanced ICP-MS: the concepts and applications of ICP-MS discussed at an advanced level. Whilst the course will focus on traditional ICP-MS, Laser Ablation, Gas Chromatography and Liquid Chromatography ICP-MS will be discussed, to provide an excellent theoretical and practical appreciation of ICP-MS. This course will be run in partnership with ![]()
Advanced Analytical Chemistry Workshop: dealing with the issues encountered by and problem solving techniques for analytical chemists. The workshop provides analysts with a dynamic way of learning advanced analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis.
