Chinese Delegation visits TSW Analytical

The Science of Wine Traceability

TSW Analytical recently hosted representatives from the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation as well a Chinese government delegation in order to discuss the application of wine traceability within the Australian industry.
Professor George Stewart, Dean of UWA’s Faculty of Physical and Life Sciences, presented Mr Han Yi and Madam Peixuan Ma, with bottles of Margaret River wine. The authenticity of the contents in each bottle can be validated using TSW Analytical’s wine traceability tool.
TSW’s Managing Director, Cameron Scadding (pictured below with Jessica Pater from the AWBC) and Director of Science, Professor John Watling, emphasized the importance of robust wine traceability protocols for both the domestic and international markets and detailed the TSW Analytical approach for combatting fraudulent labelling and adulteration of wine.

TSW Analytical Showcases Greenland Ore Beneficiation Research

Sven Fjastad, Director of Mineral Chemistry at TSW Analytical, presented his research to an enthusiastic crowd at the recent ‘Greenland Day in Perth’, hosted by the Minerals and Petroleum Bureau of the Greenland government. Mr Fjastads’ skills in hydrometallurgy are key to the success of efficient extraction and isolation of desired elements from the complex ore body.

Winners of the 2009 FIA ‘Best Service to Industry’ Award

TSW Analytical had a very successful evening at Burswood Resort’s Astral Ballroom on Friday September 4th, winning the ‘Best Service to Industry’ award and being nominated as a finalist in the ‘Excellence in Supply Chain’ category.The honour is a response to research undertaken in conjunction with Australian Pork Limited (APL) in developing a chemical validation tool for tracing Australian pork. Managing Director, Cameron Scadding, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the TSW Analytical team from Hon. Terry Redman, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry and Andrea Berteit, CEO of Food Industry Association.
